Better Version of Yourself
So here’s my quote for the day: “Embrace everyone and everything that helps you become a better version of yourself.” I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that quote.
The question, I suppose, is what exactly does it mean?
In my humble opinion, this kind of statement should NOT be taking to extremes, as happens way too often in our current culture. This quote does NOT suggest that you should starve yourself to lose whatever weight you want to lose. It does NOT imply that you should work out 4 hours every day to become uber fit. It is NOT telling you to quit your job and volunteer 100 hours per week so you are a better person.
So please, don’t go crazy here people. (Please reference my “All or None“ blog from a couple months ago)
Just imagine this – what would you, and your life, look like if every week (not even every day) you spent a little bit of time focusing on that quote. Just try to become a better version of yourself, a little bit at a time.
If some one, or some thing, is going to make you a better “you”, then embrace that. Again, in small doses.
Just noodle that one for a bit. If you really focused on this, even just weekly, what would “you” look like in a year?
